This is something I have wanted to write down for a long time: A list of my top 5 Bible verses. I have often used them for inspiration in times of trouble, which may seem cheesy to some, but the Bible is there for us to read. I find it comforting to read the words of God. I have been on a journey to better my mental health and I also have been trying to trust in the Lord more and grow in my faith. He has done so much for me and I know his love is unconditional. So here are some verses that have helped me tremendously and I hope they will help someone too. I return to them often so theses are my absolute favorite!!
1. “The Lord is greater than the giants you face.” 1 John 4:4
Automatically when I read this I think about how big God’s love is and great He is. I also think of David and Goliath story, how David prayed to God to give him the strength to beat Goliath. This always helps me get through hard times with my anxiety.
2. “Do not be afraid I am with you.” Isaiah 43.5
This bible verse has given me so much light in dark times. It also is a part of one of my favorite songs in church. I think I love this bible verse because there is so much truth in it and it speaks volumes. The Lord is always there in times of troubles and darkness and people often forget that the Lord is with you not against you.
3. “I will not be shaken.” Psalm 16:8
This one I have used and read when I need a boost of confidence or when I am feeling down about myself. God crafted you in is own perfect way. Don’t let others shake you down because you are fearfully and wonderfully made.
4. ” I love you at your darkest.” Romans 5:8
This is my all time favorite bible verse. This is my first go to in most situations. I have used this verse in many of my darkest times. There is so much meaning and love crafted into it that my words won’t and cannot do it justice. It is so simple yet so deep. To think that when you’re in the darkest of times and even the Lord still loves you….that simply amazes me. This bible verse shows how great His love truly is. It’s never-ending and unconditional.
5. “God is within her, she will not fail.” Psalm 46:5
I think many people like this one because there is a lot of truth to it. I use this one in many low self-confidence situations. If you pray to the Lord about something he will give it to you in His time and if it is in His plan. His plan is so great and we just have to trust in it. I know how hard it is to trust Him. But if He is within you He won’t let you fail and he won’t let you fall.
There you have it my top 5 favorite Bible verses. Hopefully it will help someone.
